Valence Bushcrafter — Dyed Maple Burl & Copper

$330.00 Sale Save

This knife is extremely stout and ergonomic for long days in the woods. The blade profile harkens to the bush knives of Scandinavia while still holding true to the unique influences of the American Western frontier.

The blade’s sabre grind is one example of this: The dual bevels bring good splitting ability when batonning kindling, while keeping the sharpened portion of the blade small and manageable for upkeep in the field.

Blade: 1/8" thick. 4.5” long. 01 carbon tool steel. Full tang. Sabre grind. Hard 90 degree spine for scraping and striking a fire rod.

Handle: Dyed and Stabilized maple burl.
Solid copper pins and lanyard tube. 4.5" long.

Sheath: Vegetable-tanned, 8-9 oz leather from Hermann Oak American Tannery. Hand dyed, and stitched with waxed linen thread. Finished with Redroot Leather Conditioner.

Package: This knife comes with a 1/2 oz tin of leather conditioner (with sheath purchase), and a 1/2 oz bottle of blade oil (if carbon steel).
