The Western Kitchen Petty knife fills the gap between the small paring knife and the larger kitchen knives perfectly. It has a similarly narrow blade profile and pointed tip as a paring knife, while providing a full sized handle and a larger, 5” blade for fine work on the cutting board. The petty will quickly become your favorite backup knife! 

The blade profile ground in a high rounded sabre. This gives the durability and cutting consistency of the sabre grind while rounding off the hard edges at the second bevel allowing for easier slicing.

If you like the narrow-tip blade profile but want something a little shorter get, check out the Western Paring knife as an option.

Blade: 3/32” thick. 5 ” long. 1.25" max depth. 01 carbon tool steel. High, rounded sabre grind.

Handle: Stabilized walnut burl. Solid copper (non-plated) pins and lanyard tube. 4.25” long.

Sheath: (OPTIONAL) Natural veg-tanned, 8-9 oz leather from Hermann Oak American tannery. Hand stitched with waxed linen thread.

Package: This knife comes with a 1/2 oz tin of leather conditioner (with sheath purchase), and a 1/2 oz bottle of blade oil (if carbon steel).
